As part of the artistic team, we are responsible for advancing Aveda beauty education by developing specific programs for North America.Our five beauty professionals on the team have specialties varying from makeup, skin care, and spa treatments. They are given the resources to confidently educate students, consumers, and other schools about Aveda’s treatments, products, and programs.To our instructors, Aveda isn’t just a brand, it’s a lifestyle. Whether it’s a college town like Provo or a bustling metropolitan area like Denver, our students have access to numerous local events and activities.Fashion WeekHave you ever dreamed of attending fashion week? For New York Fashion Week, future professionals or graduates are able to learn at the Advanced Academy in New York by attending workshops for Aveda Runway Essential Styling or Makeup workshop.These students then have the opportunity to work alongside the Aveda hair and makeup teams at New York or London Fashion Week runways. There is a competitive application process and outside fees to attend, but we encourage our students to apply themselves for this once in a lifetime opportunity!North American Hairstyling AwardsOur students also have the opportunity to compete in the North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA). Much like fashion week, there is a competitive application process and outside fees, but this is another once in a lifetime opportunity we see a lot of value in.Students who participate shoot their work with an industry photographer and work with the Inspire Greatness Artistic Team. This work will then be submitted to NAHA in the Student Hairstylist of the Year category. To date, we have had 18 NAHA nominees across our locations, and four winners! We are proud to educate such dedicated students and can’t wait to see where their futures take them.Study AbroadGrab your bags, because we have a study abroad experience! Current students and graduates are chosen through a rigorous application process to participate. You could have the chance to learn from Aveda masters in other countries and to experience a brand new culture. So far, our students have had the chance to travel to Madrid, India, London, Berlin, and Japan. Where could your study abroad travels take you?Sustainable LearningOur mission at aveda is to care for the world we live in, from the products we make to the ways in which we give back to society.
