Our Programs

At Aveda Institute Tucson, we offer four programs. Each one pairs technical skill-building with client experience, business knowledge, and preparation for Arizona licensure or certification. They include:

Cosmetology

Our comprehensive Cosmetology program covers 1,500 hours of direct training in hair, skin care, makeup, waxing, and nails. You graduate with a full skill set and the business foundation to develop lasting client relationships. The program prepares you to pass the Arizona state licensing exam.

Hairstyling

Our Hairstyling program covers 1,000 hours of focused training in the skills hairstylists use every day. Coursework includes:

• Current cutting and coloring techniques
• Scalp revitalization
• Deep conditioning treatments
• Trendy styling

You’ll leave with practical skills and the confidence to use them.

Esthiology

The Esthiology program provides 600 hours of skin care training using Aveda’s plant-based products. You’ll study facial massage, facials, and skin treatments like detoxification, alongside client relations and business development skills. It’s a specialized program for students who want to build a career as an esthetician.

Cosmetology/Esthiology Educator Program

The Cosmetology/Esthiology Educator program is for licensed beauty professionals who are ready to teach. You’ll build the instructional techniques and classroom management skills you need to guide students effectively. Whatever you want to teach, this program prepares you for an educator role.
