Esthiology Program in Tucson, Arizona

Esthetician School Curriculum
The road to a successful career as a licensed esthetician can begin with the esthiology at Inspire Greatness Aveda Institutes. Our unique program involves studying beauty and skincare practices in a curriculum that embraces Aveda brand products and values. Our skilled instructors are dedicated to teaching plant-based skincare using sustainably produced products. We believe this encourages environmental responsibility and leadership among our students, as well as providing high-quality skin care for clients. As a result, our students learn how to promote healthy skin regimes. They also gain experience providing rejuvenating treatments and services for clients in our student salon and spa as an important part of the 600-hour program.
The knowledgeable and experienced team of instructors at Inspire Greatness Aveda Institutes guides students through both the classroom and hands-on portions of the esthiology program. They provide a supportive, encouraging atmosphere to help students become confident, successful estheticians. Courses include:
- Facials
- Facial massage
- Skin treatments and masks
- Makeup application
- Detoxification massage for lymphatic drainage
- Waxing and hair removal
- Aveda product knowledge
- Client relations
- Business skills
We welcome recent high school graduates and others who may be new to the beauty and skincare industry. Many students join us with backgrounds in customer relations, including medical assistants and food service workers. Inspire Greatness Aveda Institutes also attracts students who prefer to learn in person in a collaborative education and training environment.
In addition to the hands-on training at our Tuscon campus, students at Inspire Greatness Aveda Institutes also have an opportunity to study abroad. This experience servers as an introduction to new cultural norms for arts and fashion, as well as an eye-opening experience that unlocks new ways of looking at beauty and wellness. There are also new perspectives offered on campus with industry professionals bringing master series demonstrations and skill-building workshops. Plus, career fairs help students determine what type of employment opportunities are available.
There are also special events each year in which students may participate. These are the New York and London Fashion Weeks, for intensive runway experiences, and the North American Hairstyling Awards, which are sometimes referred to as the Oscars of the beauty industry. Students may be chosen to assist Aveda professionals as they create award-winning styles with hair and makeup.
Our esthiology course curriculum includes a variety of skin care techniques. As students progress through the program, they may decide to specialize in one kind of treatment. Whether it’s facials and facial massages, hair removal and waxing, or running a salon business, they’ll find a supportive atmosphere for exploring their options.
Our esthiology program is great for professionals outside of salons and spas as well. For example, writers and video bloggers may want to pursue a career in beauty influencing, or makeup enthusiasts may be attracted to working with fashion shows or in films. In this very mobile and in-demand career, licensed estheticians can follow trends and learn new techniques to take their new careers in several different directions.
