Inspire Greatness Aveda Institutes offers two courses at our Avondale campus:

Cosmetology

Our Cosmetology program covers many techniques and processes completed in the beauty industry, such as:

Esthiology

Throughout our Esthiology program, students learn the basics of skin care along with specific skin care treatments. They also learn about massage, the detoxifying process, and other aspects of esthiology. Students can work with our vegan, plant-based, sustainable skin care products.

Along with learning typical spa processes such as facials, hair removal, and makeup application, students can also learn how to interact with clients and ensure their comfort throughout appointments. We also teach students the business skills needed for diving into the skin care and esthiology professions.

Those who enroll in our courses can enjoy flexible scheduling and financial aid opportunities for qualifying students. At our Avondale campus, students can choose to take day or evening courses. Esthiology, similar to esthetics, is the study and application of skin care treatments, such as facials, hair removal, masks, and more. The Inspire Greatness Aveda Institutes esthiology program provides students with training on how to become a licensed skin care specialist. We do this by teaching skin care basics and treatments, how to interact with clients, business tips, and more.

At our Avondale salon, our aspiring esthiology graduates perform a wide range of skin care services, including:

• Hair removal: This process often uses wax to remove unwanted hair from areas like the face, legs, arms, bikini area, or underarms (with add-ons like the Lotus Facial available to target ingrown hairs)
• Facials: Skin care treatments personalized to each client depending on their needs, like exfoliation, discoloration, etc. (Aveda Dual Exfoliation Peel Facial, Aveda Tulasara Facial, etc.)
• Body treatments:Wrapping and peels, polishing, and back facials, target areas other than the face (Perfecting Plant Peel, SkinScript Enzyme Peel, Hydrojelly Masque, etc.)
• Dermaplaning: This process uses a very sharp razor to remove vellus hair and dead skin from the face to reveal brightened skin
• NuFace Microcurrent: A process using a low-level electrical current to contour and tone the face
• Microdermabrasion: Uses a special instrument to provide enhanced exfoliation to the skin, allowing skin care products to absorb better
• High frequency: Uses a thermal current to manage acne, treat fine lines, enlarged pores, and wrinkles
• LED therapy: Uses LED light to help treat skin with hyperpigmentation, acne, and more
• Nano needling: Creates microscopic channels in the skin to provide better product absorption
