Hair Programs
We offer several hair-cutting and styling programs, including:
Barber Program
Could barber school be the right path for you? Designed by an Aveda Professional Barber, this unique 1,500-hour barber program provides extensive instruction in haircutting, shaving, color theory, chemical texture services, and more. You’ll learn to do close shaves, razor fades, and clipper cuts, all of which will be practiced on our salon floor with instructor supervision. Students who complete this program will be prepared to take the required examination to become a licensed barber in the state of Colorado.
Hairstyling Program
Prospective students who want to focus on hair design can find a dedicated hairstyling program at our Denver campus. Unlike shorter programs at other hair styling schools, students gain 1,200 hours of training in cutting and styling, as well as fundamental business and customer service skills. You’ll learn advanced hair care techniques, as well as how to do blow-dry styling, wet styling, finger waving, custom perms, and more.
Cosmetology Program
Do you dream of working as a licensed cosmetologist or even owning a salon one day? Completing a cosmetology program is the first step. At Inspire Greatness Aveda Institutes, our cosmetology school offers 1,500 hours of training with a curriculum that covers cutting, coloring, and styling techniques, as well as business skills and supplemental salon services like manicures and facials.
Esthetics Programs
An esthetician uses a variety of treatments to make a person feel beautiful in their skin. We offer two programs in the study of esthetics, known as esthiology:
Esthiology Program
Our 600-hour esthiology program prepares students to work in salon and spa settings. In the first half of this program, you’ll learn the fundamentals of esthetics, from facials and makeup application to hair removal and lymphatic drainage. The program will also cover disinfection, sanitation, and other health and safety practices. In the second half of this program, students learn to use their skills in practice on our clinic floor, where they gain practical experience in preparation for the state board licensing exam.
Master Esthiology Program
For those who want to take their education further, the master esthiology program at Inspire Greatness Aveda Institutes offers training in advanced skin treatments and services. In this 1,200-hour program, you’ll move beyond basic facials into advanced techniques that require specialized equipment, such as:
- Dermaplaning
- Chemical exfoliation
- Microneedling
- Eyebrow arching and lamination
- Lash and brow tinting
Plus, students learn valuable business skills to help them succeed in the wellness industry, from crafting a resume to marketing their services.

Massage Therapy Program
Massage therapy is a powerful tool for eliminating stress and providing relief and relaxation. At Inspire Greatness Aveda Institutes, our approach to massage is grounded in the ancient philosophy of Ayurveda. Our massage therapy program is a 600-hour course that covers techniques including reflexology, acupressure, deep tissue massage, and Swedish massage. Students who complete the massage therapy program will be prepared to sit for the Massage & Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEx).
Cosmetology Educator/Esthiology Educator Program
For students who want to take their beauty career in a different direction, Inspire Greatness Aveda Institutes offers both cosmetology and esthiology instructor training programs. Students in this program immerse themselves in Aveda culture, teaching techniques, classroom oversight, and relevant state regulations for the cosmetology and esthetics professions.
