How to Apply to Our Programs

Once you have determined you want to attend beauty school, you must apply to the campus and program of your choice. At Inspire Greatness Aveda Institutes, there are a few simple steps to the application process. They include:

Getting in Touch

Our admissions team wants to get to know each prospective applicant to determine how they’ll fit in at Inspire Greatness Aveda Institutes. To contact our Admissions Team Leads, you can either fill out a form on our site and we’ll get in touch with you, or you can give us a call and start chatting.

Taking a Tour of Our Location

Once you have talked with a member of our staff, our Admissions Team will contact you to schedule an in-person or virtual tour of your chosen campus. During your tour, you can meet some of the staff, discuss our guidelines and curriculum, learn about extracurricular events and financial aid opportunities, and more.

Filling Out an Application

The first step towards acceptance is to fill out an application packet and pay a $50 application fee. Our admissions team can also walk you through different financial aid options (available to students who qualify) to help fund your education.

Getting Started On Your Journey

Once you submit your application, our admissions team will review it and reach out to you. During this time, we’ll also help you create a financial plan and confirm your chosen start date. If accepted, your next step is to complete the enrollment paperwork and pay the $150 registration fee to secure your spot in the program. Some students choose to submit the application and registration fees together to streamline the process.

Enrollment Requirements

To be eligible for enrollment at Inspire Greatness Aveda Institutes, students must meet certain requirements. If you’re invited to continue the application process, you then must provide a copy of the following required documents:

  • A letter of intent stating your goals and beliefs
  • Proof of age* (i.e., driver’s license, state ID, passport)
  • A verification of your Social Security Number (either through a completed FAFSA, VA Certificate of Eligibility, or a copy of the Social Security Card)
  • A scanned copy of a high school diploma or GED** (You must be a high school or college graduate before the official start date of your course)

*If the student is under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian will need to sign the enrollment contract along with the student.

**We may accept transcripts on a case-by-case basis, but transcripts provided must be official, show the graduation date, and be accepted by the Department of Education. We cannot accept college transcripts as proof of a GED.

What Should Be Included in the Letter of Intent?
The letter of intent is a required part of your application. It must be 500 words long and include why you would like to attend Inspire Greatness Aveda Institutes, discuss what you can bring to the beauty industry, and answer other related questions.
Is it possible to find a career after graduation?
When you attend one of our beauty school programs, you will learn hands-on and practical skills that can help you succeed in the industry. As an Aveda school, we strive to prepare our students for their careers by training them with high-end Aveda products. Many salons and beauty employers recognize the advantages of hiring students with an education in Aveda products.
