Barbering
These courses include the History of Barbering, the Science of Barbering, Anatomy, and more. We provide 220 hours of classes focused on these aspects of the profession, helping students get an overall understanding of the subject.
Haircutting
Our most comprehensive part of the curriculum, the haircutting classes include 370 hours of training. You’ll become familiar with scissor cutting, razors, clippers, draping, hairstyling, and more.
Shaving
This includes 90 hours of lessons on clipper cutting, head shaving, modern razor styling, and beard and mustache trims to help you handle the subtleties of these skills.
Treatment of Hair and Scalp
This section of the curriculum includes 60 hours of courses dedicated to procedures and techniques, scalp analysis, product analysis, and selecting the correct shampoo or conditioner for different applications.
Facial Massage and Treatments
Here, students will get educated on skin care, men’s facial techniques, disorders that may affect the skin, and histology with 20 hours of training. These courses help them prepare for more than just hair care.
Disinfection, Sanitation, and Safe Work Practices
Being a barber is about more than just using your skills and creativity to leave clients looking their best. You also need to learn how to do your job safely. That’s why we provide students with 180 hours of learning based on clinic practice, sanitary procedures, health risks, infection control, and more.
Laws, Rules, and Regulations
We know it’s important that our students understand the legal aspects of the job. That’s why we provide courses to help you learn about state laws and rules, ethics, and more. We also offer a review for the barber exam during these 30 hours.
Management and Salesmanship
For those looking for versatility when it comes to their careers, learning about team building, PR and advertising, retail, building clientele, and other vital skills is a must. These 30 hours help you prepare for life as a barber and beyond.
