Our Men’s Cutting Coaches, Megan and Robert, put together a weekly newsletter for our educators that highlights techniques, pedagogy, and products. I loved this feature on the importance of workshops. I hope you enjoy it, too! ^AS

I am sure we can all agree as educators that one of the things we hear the most from our Future Professionals is that they are afraid to take a service. This seems to be especially true for men’s cuts. How many times, if any, have they had the opportunity to work on a male guest?
Salon floor workshops during downtime may not be the all-inclusive fix to their fears, but it’s a great place to start! As our team lead Carrie Bellus says,” the Salon floor is our largest classroom.” In light of that, are we utilizing our time on the Salon floor to model techniques and to invite them to experience hand’s on during a workshop?
Our Future Professionals have the answer on where they feel they need further instruction. Want to know what to show the FPs? Ask! Once we have the information, 4mat a salon floor workshop and watch for your F.P’s ah-ha moments and celebrate the fact that you care enough about their education to deliver a better understanding of our curriculum.
