In Tucson every year we host an All Souls Procession, it is my most favorite part of Tucson yet! At AIT we incorporate this amazing part of culture and history into a master series where future professionals learn the art of day of the dead make up. The All Souls Procession is a ceremony inspired by Mexico’s Dia de los Muertos holiday. During this ceremony 35,000 participants walk two miles down the streets of downtown Tucson. The Procession ends in the finalizing action of burning a large urn filled with the hopes, offerings and wishes of the public for those who have passed.
